13 killed in road accidents

NALGONDA:
Five persons, including a 4-month-old baby, were killed and 30 others injuried when the van in which they were travelling overturned at Pedda Suraram in Tipparthy mandal on Thursday. They were going to attend the Rajiv Nagara Bata to be participated by the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, in Nalgonda.
According to M. Ram Reddy, Sub-Inspector, the driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve, the vehicle fell into the roadside culvert.
According to a Nellore report, eight persons lost their lives in two accidents in the district. At Chittedu village of Kota mandal six petrsons were killed on the spot another one died on the way to hospital following a collision between a lorry and an autorickshaw.
In another accident at Kakupalli village a scooterist was killed when his vehicle hit a tree on the main road.
