Good spell by Chetan

BANGALORE: All-rounder Chetan Williams bagged five wickets and helped Karnataka Tigers defeat Karnataka Foxes by an innings and ten runs in a Safi Darashah Trophy tournament match.

Trailing by 148 runs, Foxes continued to struggle in its second innings while Chetan ran in hard and bowled incisive spells to guide Tigers to victory. Foxes was bowled out for 138 in 54 overs.

Karnataka Foxes 148 and 138 in 54 overs (K. Girish Rao 47, Chetan Williams five for 40) lost to Karnataka Tigers 296 for 8 declared in 59.4 overs (Barrington Rowland 110, B. Akhil 71, C. Raghu 59, Ryan Ninan five for 97).

Karnataka Jumbos 437 for five decl. drew with Karnataka Bulls 331 in 84.5 overs (Vinayak Uthappa 69, Bharath Chipli 69, Raju Bhatkal 66 n.o., R. Vinay Kumar four for 61).

Section H wins

ICFAI Section H emerged champion in the Straight Drive rolling trophy corporate cricket tournament held here recently. In the final, Section H defeated Section E by eight runs.

The scores (final): Section H 166 for nine in 20 overs (M. Kailash 59) bt Section E 158 in 19 overs (Prashant 47).
