Police Commissioner seeks DCP's suspension

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Police Commissioner, V. Dinesh Reddy, on Thursday has written to the State Government to suspend the West Zone DCP, N. Sanjay, accusing him of harbouring a person involved in criminal cases, it is learnt.

Sources said the Commissioner sent letters to the Director General of Police and to the Chief Secretary citing documentary evidence of the DCP's alleged association with a person - Mohan -- facing criminal charges. It is learnt the Commissioner wrote to the Government stating there was evidence suggesting that there were 16 calls received and made by the DCP to Mohan on August 5.
