KARIMNAGAR: The Minister for Sports, Culture and Cinematography, M. Satyanarayana Rao, has said that the Government will deal firmly with persons involved in the recent tiffin box bomb explosion at the Karimnagar bus station complex. The Minister visited the blast site on Thursday and interacted with police officials, including the Karimnagar Range DIG, A. R. Anuradha, the Additional SP (Admn), P. Sudarshan Reddy, and the DSP, Y. Sai Narsa Reddy, and inquired about the incident and the progress of investigation. Talking to newsmen, he said: "however big the person may be, we will not spare them. We will give a free hand to the police to conduct a thorough investigation and punish the culprits. After all, they (accused) are playing with the lives of people and disturbing peace in the region,''
No hampering of probe
Refuting allegations that the Government was hampering investigation process, he said that the Government had given free hand to the police to check the activities of anti-social elements, who had caused the bomb explosion injuring 21 persons. There is no question of interfering in the police investigation,'' he made it clear. He suspected the hand of ISI or other groups that might have gained entry into the Karimnagar with local support and expressed concern over the increasing terrorist activities all over the world. "Naxalites or any other group cannot enter the towns without local support,'' he felt. He also visited the civil hospital to console the injured persons. He said that the RTC bus crew, who had averted a major disaster with their timely intervention, would be felicitated during the Independence day parade in the town.
Bus crew praised
He also informed the RTC authorities to explore the possibility of giving some incentive to their staff. The Collector, C. Parthasarathi, the RTC zonal chairman, K. Jaganmohan Rao, the DCC president, T. Santosh Kumar and others were present.
