Modern fish stalls to be set up at Chirala, Kandukur

CHIRALA: Ultra modern fish stalls are coming up one each at Chirala and Kandukur municipalities in Prakasam district each costing Rs. 10 lakhs.

Addressing reporters here on Thursday, V. Suresh, General Manager, Andhra Pradesh State Fishermen Co-operative Federation Ltd., Hyderabad, said the concept was adopted primarily to create awareness among consumers. Each municipality will bear 50 per cent of project cost.

Suresh, who visited the site intended for location of diesel outlet at Vodarevu for supply of subsidised fuel to the mechanised boats, said similar outlet to be maintained by Indian Oil Corporation would come up at Kavali in Nellore district.
