Constable's house burgled

TAMBARAM:
: Gold jewellery weighing about 10 sovereigns has been stolen from the house of a police constable at Devanesan Nagar, Peerkankaranai, near Tambaram. The burglary came to light this morning when the constable, Chandran, returned home after duty. A constable attached to the Madhavaram police station, Chandran stayed with his two younger brothers, who are also police constables. All of them had gone out on night duty and returned only this morning.
In another incident at Zamin Pallavaram, burglars gained entry into the house of a retired railway employee and stole Rs. 2,000 in cash and gold jewellery weighing 7 sovereigns on Wednesday night.
