Cash stolen from passenger

: A bag containing Rs. 1 lakh was stolen from an MTC bus passenger on Wednesday.
Police said the victim, a Central Government employee, boarded route number 32near the Periyar Statue signal. When the bus reached the Central railway station, he noticed that a side of his bag had been cut open and the cash removed. He filed a complaint with the Flower Bazaar police. A 48-year-old woman lost her chain to a two-member gang at Mylapore on Wednesday.
Police said Sankari, a resident of Abhiramapuram 3rd Cross Street, was on her way home from the Kapaleeswarar temple in the evening when two persons on a motorcycle allegedly snatched the chain. A case has been registered with the Mylapore police.
