CBI raids
NEW DELHI:
A week after registering a case in the Rs. 11.7-crore Volkswagen scam, the CBI raided some of the offices of the German car major and its alleged collaborators in India.
A CBI spokesman said the agency sleuths were conducting searches at the residence of the chief of Volkswagen in India, Ashok Jain, in Agra on Thursday.
The agency had conducted searches at the official and residential premises of two directors of `Vasistha Wahan' Bhunesh Chaturvedi in Gurgaon and Jagdish Alagar Raja in Chennai on Wednesday.
A large number of documents recovered were being scrutinised, the spokesman said. PTI
