ONGC gets Dhruv

BANGALORE: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has handed over a civil variant of Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH), Dhruv, to Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in Mumbai.

The delivery assumes significance in the wake of the tragedy at ONGC's Bombay High platform. HAL will deliver two more Dhruvs in the coming months to ONGC.

The ONGC will position the Dhruvs at its bases in New Delhi, Nazria (Assam) and Rajahmundry (Andhra Pradesh).
