Foundation stone laid for Friendship Home

KOCHI: The foundation stone for the Bavaria-Kochi Friendship Home was laid at Mundamveli on Thursday.

The 4,710sq ft.-home is a natural disaster relief settlement, jointly set up by the Kochi Corporation and various organisations in Bavaria State in Germany and Kerala Builders Forum.

The Rs.16-lakh project will be completed in January 2006. C.M. Dinesh Mani, Kochi Mayor, laid the foundation stone.

A.V. George, Deputy Mayor, presided. C.K. Gopalan and K.J. Antony, Standing committee chairpersons of Kochi Corporation, Gokulam Venugopal, chairman, Kerala Builders Forum, and K.J. Maxy, Corporation councillor, attended.
