CSR acquires UbiNetics

BANGALORE: London Stock Exchange-listed CSR has entered the Indian market by acquiring the software business of UbiNetics for $48 million. Following the deal, CSR said the R&D talent in the company's Bangalore centre will play a key role in developing important wireless handset technologies including 3G and HSDPA (high speed downlink packet access) protocol software, and UMA (unlicensed mobile access).
