Lakra advances

New Delhi: India began its campaign on a positive note with A.L. Lakra advancing to the second round in the featherweight category at the Commonwealth boxing championships in Glasgow, Scotland.

Lakra scored a convincing 21-6 victory over Darren Edward of Wales in the preliminary round, Indian Amateur Boxing Federation said in a press release here on Tuesday. — PTI
