Help Centre at Bangalore Chamber
BANGALORE:
The Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) have established a Help Centre at the BCIC premises for central excise, customs and service tax. "The main objective of the Help Centre is primarily to provide an institutional mechanism for guiding and educating the trade and industry in all matters relating to central excise, service tax and customs. The centre shall make assessees aware of their rights, obligations, and the advantage of tax compliance.
The centre will also guide the trading public in customs matters such as baggage rules relating to travel, procedures for clearance of cargo, EDI procedures, drawback and refunds and classification matters," said Anant Koppar, President, BCIC, in a release.
