GUNTUR: The country's development is possible only when the farming community is strengthened with proper agricultural inputs, opined the chairman of the Murugappa group, P.S. Pai. Speaking at a meeting organised in Karuchola village in Yadlapadu mandal of Guntur district, he said that his company, Coramandal Fertilizers Limited, was supplying its products directly from its plant in Visakhapatnam to the SHGs in the district. "This reduces the role of middlemen and the farmer is benefited with the lesser price," he said. The vice-president of Coramandal fertilizers, P. Gopalakrishna, Marketing officer, Prabhakara Rao, SHG members, farmers and other officials participated.
