Hot gruel falls on girl, dies
A two-year-old girl Sangeeta, who suffered burns as hot gruel fell on her on August 11, died on Thursday while undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital. Daughter of a labourer, the victim was loitering in the house alone at Gowliguda Chaman when the gruel fell on her, the Afzalgunj police said.
Military employee's chain stolen
A motorcycle-borne youngster snatched a gold chain from the neck of a military employee Abhishek Chawla on Tuesday at Navketan Complex in Secunderabad. According to the police, the victim was passing by Wesley Church on his two-wheeler when the snatcher came from behind, pulled the chain and sped away.
House burgled
Thieves broke into a house at Suryanagar Colony in Alwal and took away Rs. 10,000 and gold worth Rs. 40,000 on Monday night. House owner Ravinder Reddy is a software engineer and he went to Medak with his family to attend a function, the Alwal police said on Tuesday.
