HYDERABAD: Opportunity is knocking at your door. Right here in the twin cities in the form of Opportunities Fair at Hitex Grounds from August 20. Those looking for a jumpstart on their careers, those bored with their current employers and freshers waiting to break into the job market are the right candidates who can make most of the event that will have more than 30 top employers from Hyderabad and across the country with plum offers for the bright and worthy. The job fair, that is reaching Hyderabad after drawing aspirants in thousands to its previous editions in Chennai, Bangalore and Coimbatore, will be a two-day affair, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days. Candidates have to obtain a printout of the registration acknowledgement from the website, which will have an individual registration number, which has to be carried to the venue. And make sure that you carry at least 30 copies of your resume so that no opening goes waste. Prospective employers one will run into at the fair include Cognizant, which has tied up with for the event, Verizon, e-Serve, iGate, Convergys, Invensys, ADP, SEEC Technologies, Leading C, Nipuna, Wipro-GE, HCL-DSL, Accenture, 24/7, ISG NovaSoft, Manugistics and TeamLease among others. At the fair, candidates can first visit stalls that offer suitable positions and then visit other stalls. Those who are short-listed by the companies will be set for interviews or tests at the venue itself and successful candidates can return home with the job. Employability seminars, six of them in total, coverage of a wide spectrum of industries like BPO, IT, ITES, Telecom, insurance, manufacturing and services, sales and marketing, all with domestic and overseas positions, will be features of the fair which is open to fresh graduates, postgraduates, professionals with up to 10 years of experience and next year's pass-outs who can raise their Employability Quotient. Reaching the venue will not be a problem with the State Road Transport Corporation to operate special buses from Secunderabad, Jubilee Bus Station, Koti, Nampally, Imlibun Bus Station, Afzalgunj, Dilsukhnagar, KPHB Colony, ECIL crossroads, BHEL, Uppal, Kacheguda, Charminar and Mehdipatnam from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
