Lifer for robbery, murder

NEW DELHI: A person who killed a man during a hold-up was sentenced to life imprisonment by a Delhi court on Tuesday.

Additional Session Judge Chandragupta found the accused Ombir guilty under sections 302(murder), 392(robbery) and 397 (robbery or dacoity with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt) in a case of robbery and murder of Bhagwant Singh that occurred about four years ago.

The court also sentenced him to seven years each under sections 392 and 397 Of IPC.

The sentences would run concurrently. -- PTI
