IDFC quarterly net doubles

CHENNAI: IDFC has reported a net profit after tax of Rs. 108 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 against Rs. 51 crore in the corresponding quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 85 per cent to Rs. 256 crore from Rs. 139 crore. According to a release, income from operations was Rs. 234 crore against Rs. 128 crore. As on June 30, the company approved financial assistance for 206 projects aggregating Rs. 26,505 crore. Net of cancellations of Rs. 10,815 crore, approvals stood at Rs. 15,690 crore. Disbursements were made for 123 projects aggregating Rs. 11,377 crore.
