Minister visits Adoni to follow up on promises

State implements quota for Muslims despite protests: Mareppa

KURNOOL: The Minister for Lift Irrigation, M. Mareppa, on Thursday revisited the areas in Adoni covered by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy during Rajiv Nagara Baata to follow up promises made to the people.

Mr. Mareppa told the public that the Government was sincere to implement its promises made before the elections and after the coming to power. He said 96 per cent of farmers benefited from the free power scheme of the Government.

The Minister formally inaugurated the training programme for 221 youths for placement in various fields after providing the basic training. He opened an Urban Health Centre and other schemes of ICDS.
