IT award for Sardar Patel University VC

AHMEDABAD: Pravin Patel, Vice-Chancellor, Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat, was given the `IBM Inspiring Vice-Chancellor of the Year 2005' award at the all-India conference of Vice-Chancellors and educationists, Educon, in Hyderabad.

Sardar Patel University, University of Pune and Manipal University were declared the three best universities. Dr. Patel was honoured for his contribution to developing IT education.
