Jayakumar launches certified multimedia course

CHENNAI: The City is set for the entry of more IT park developers in the near future, said Minister for Information Technology and Law, D. Jayakumar, on Thursday.

Developers such as Ascendas, RMZ, DLF have shown "keen interest" in developing IT park projects in Chennai, said the Minister at the launch of certified multimedia expert course at KELTRON Animation campus here.

The KELTRON animation campus, he said, would train students to successfully compete for professional artistic position in the global animation industry.

The Keltron certified multimedia expert course offers all those who enrol a multimedia computer in two months without any extra cost. The seven-month programme will include modules on art, computers, multimedia and movies. The students will also be introduced to graphical designing during practical sessions and post-production techniques in audio and video. 2D animation, web designing, CD authoring, web hosting, 3D animation will also be taught along with visits to studios, art galleries, movie units and expert lectures.

The course fee is Rs. 60,000 plus taxes; those who have completed their class XII can enrol. For details, contact 044-24348383/52081666 or keltronanimation.com.
