Seminar

The Citizens' Initiative for Peace will organise a national seminar on "Emergency Then and Now: The Status of Democracy in India Today", on Friday at the S.C.M Seminar Hall on Mission Road. The seminar, which begins at 10 a.m., will discuss issues pertaining to the post-Emergency shifts in democratic practices. Senior advocate of the Supreme Court, Anand Teltumde, will participate in the event.

Bank's contribution

Corporation Bank has contributed Rs. 50 lakhs towards the Chief Minister's drought and natural calamities relief fund, a bank statement said here.

IETE course

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer will conduct short-term courses on VLSI, embedded processors, software engineering and embedded C from August 21.
