CHANGANASSERY: Host Assumption College, Changanassery won the title in the sixth Assumption College Golden Jubilee women's inter-collegiate basketball tournament at the Assumption stadium here on Friday. In the final, Assumption College crushed St. Xavier's College, Aluva 55-21 after leading 30-11 at half-time. Leena Mariam Baby top scored for Assumption with 15 points and she was supported well by Nimmy Thomas (11). For St.Xavier's Riya C. Jose did the bulk of scoring with nine points. Nimmy Thomas (Assumption) was chosen as the best player of the tournament. Victoria P.Mathew (Assumption) was given the award for the best promising player. Kerala Sports Minister Dominic Presentation gave away the prizes to the winners.
