Prince of Arcot to take part in Zakat conference

CHENNAI:
Zakat Foundation of India has invited the Prince of Arcot, Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali, on Friday to participate in an international conference on "Importance of organised collection and utilisation of Zakat and other charities," on September 3 and 4 in New Delhi.
He has accepted the invitation.
He will present a paper on "organised collection and distribution of Zakat - theory and application" and "experience of Zakat organisations in India."
Collaborative exercise
The Foundation was a registered Trust, under the Prime Minister's High Level Committee, working towards preparation of a report on the social, economic and educational status of Muslims in India, a press release said.
The conference will be held in collaboration with other Zakat organisations in India, including the Aligarh Zakat Fund.
