The Hindu Young World Quiz on August 22

HYDERABAD: The fifth edition of The Hindu -Young World Quiz will be conducted at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan in the city from 10 a.m. on August 22.

The first regional round of the event, which began as part of the 11th anniversary celebrations of The Hindu 's Young World supplement in 2000, was held at Visakhapatnam on August 17.

The quiz is being conducted at 12 centres this year. While the event has already registered an overwhelming response at Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada, it will move on to Mangalore from Hyderabad. Kozhikode, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Trichy, Madurai, Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram will follow with the All-India Final to be held at Kochi on October 1.

The professional quiz event manager, `Quizwallahs', is managing the event while the title sponsor is Eveready Batteries.

The City Police Commissioner V. Dinesh Reddy will be the chief guest and will give away prizes for winners and other finalists of the Hyderabad round.

Attractive prizes have been lined up not only for winners, but for all participants as well.
