ALAPPUZHA: The Chaitanya Yatra lead by the KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala will arrive in the district on Sunday for a two-day visit, the Alappuzha DCC secretary Abey Kuriakkose has said. The yatra would enter the district at Mannar on August 21 at around 2.30 p.m. From Mannar, the yatra would proceed to Mavelikkara and Charummood and would end at Kayamkulam at around 8 p.m. on the day. The former Chief Minister A. K. Antony would inaugurate a public meeting to be organised there in connection with the yatra. The yatra would begin from Haripad on August 22 morning. From there the yatra would proceed to Alappuzha through Thottappally and Ambalppuzha. From there it would go to Cherthala and would end at Aroor. Those leaders who would address the meetings organized as a part of the Yatra include the Ministers Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan and K. C. Venugopal, Mr. Abey added.
