MYSORE: Even as sleuths of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested the accused involved in the theft of Rs. 50 lakh on Saturday, president of Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Ltd. Employees' Union A. Ramdas has urged the company management to revoke the suspension orders of two industrial workers and three officials. Speaking to presspersons here, Mr. Ramdas said that since the accused had been arrested, the suspension order should be revoked before Monday. He said he had already written to the management seeking the revoking order. He said that industrial workers, S. Hemachandra and M. Anand, and officials Srikanta, Dinesh Anand and Rahul Jambelkar, had been suspended soon after the incident came to light. All the five suspended employees were working in the vault section at the BRBNML, he said. Mr. Ramdas said that the accused Sabu Lal had used a duplicate key to gain entry into the vault, and that the union had provided information about security and procedural lapses to the CBI. Meanwhile, employees burst crackers in a show of joy and relief soon after the CBI officials announced the arrest of the accused. A large number of employees who had just finished the shift gathered in front of the guesthouse where the officials addressed a press conference, and presented the accused and the currency before the crowd.
