COIMBATORE: The Kerala-Tirupur State Committee of the Nepali Janadhikar Surakshi Samiti (NJSS) has urged the international community, especially India, to stop military, political and economic support to the King of Nepal. "The support is being used only to kill the democratic fabric in the poverty-stricken country," alleged Shyam Thappa, NJSS president, while speaking to reporters in connection with the two-day State level convention here. Mr. Thappa said the NJSS was committed to the civil rights and the well being of the Nepalese. Because of poverty, unemployment and backwardness, several thousand Nepalese were forced to flee to India and other Asian countries for jobs, food and shelter.
