Buta Singh's adviser proceeds on leave

Special Correspondent

PATNA: Bihar Governor Buta Singh's adviser Arun Pathak proceeded to New Delhi on long leave soon after he learnt about the new administrative arrangement coming into place.

The Governor last Wednesday decided to curtail the powers of his advisers but the notification was issued only on Saturday.

As per the new arrangement, Mr. Pathak will continue to be an adviser but the files will now be routed to the Governor through Chief Secretary G.S. Kang, who himself went on leave when he was allegedly bypassed on administrative matters. Currently Raj Bhavan is without any senior officer. Principal Secretary to Governor R.J.M. Pillai has obtained 20 days leave.
