DCC to conduct seminar on development

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The District Congress Committee (DCC) will organise a seminar on development here on Monday to discuss the 10-point development agenda set by President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in his address to the Assembly. DCC president K. Mohan Kumar told reporters here on Saturday that since Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had declared a programme for the development of education, public health, industries and poverty alleviation in his Independence Day speech. Congress president Sonia Gandhi will address the convention of party activists at the Central Stadium at 4 p.m. on August 27.
