Constable recruitment

The written test for recruitment to the posts of stipendiary cadet trainee police constables (civil/men) will be held at Chaitanya Bharati Institute of Technology (CBIT) and the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology at Gandipet from 10 a.m. on Sunday. Candidates have to reach the venue by 9 a.m. and are prohibited from carrying cell phones, calculators or palmtops into the examination centre.

1,706 cases settled

As many as 1,706 cases were settled in the Prashant Lok Adalat held on the Metropolitan Criminal Courts Complex premises, Nampally here on Saturday.

Chief Justice Bilal Nazki, who is Executive Chairman, Andhra Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, inaugurated the Lok Adalat.

The cases were filed by Reliance Company, ICICI Bank, Airtel, HSBC, City Bank, SBI Cards, Tata Mobile and other private parties. - Staff Reporter

Santoor recital

"Barkha Ritu - Rains and Ragas", a santoor recital by Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma and vocal by Pandit Channulal Mishra will be organised by the Mumbai-based Banyan Tree at the Convention Centre, Hotel Viceroy from 7 p.m. onwards. ICAR chief visits NAARM

The director-general of ICAR, Mangala Rai, addressed the faculty and scientist probationers of the foundation course for agricultural research services at the National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), near here, on Friday.
