BANGALORE: On the information provided by a private detective agency engaged by the Union Government, the Regional Board of Film Censors conducted a raid on PVR cinema at Kormanagala in Bangalore on Friday night and seized the reels of the Telugu film Athudu. Regional Officer of the board A. Chandrashekhar told presspersons here on Saturday that the cinema in question was screening the film "interpolating the scenes that are deemed unfit for public viewing" by the censor board. The raid was conducted with the help of the police in compliance with the norms of the board. The police have taken the manager and the projector operator into custody, he said. It was mandatory that each cinema display the certificate issued by the respective regional censor board with the details of the number of cuts effected.
