Himachal varsity students' election on August 29

SHIMLA: The Himachal Pradesh University authorities have given the green signal for students' elections on the University campus and in the affiliated colleges in the State.

In a late evening development, the committee, set up to decide on the matter, gave its consent for the same. The panel comprises University representatives and principals of various colleges. The elections for the Students' Central Association will now be held on August 29, according to a notification issued by the Registrar of the University.

All the major organisations in the University held victory rallies on Monday evening after the declaration of elections.
