The Hindu Young World Quiz to be held tomorrow

MANGALORE: The annual The Hindu Young World quiz will be held in Mangalore on Wednesday at Town Hall.

This year's edition of the quiz will focus on India with Audio Visual content. After a preliminary written round, the top six teams from each region will compete for the top honours in the respective regional finals on stage. Each winning team from various regions will participate in the grand All India Final to be held at Kochi on October 1.

At Mangalore pre-chosen teams of children from different schools will participate in the quiz on Wednesday.

The Hindu will bear the cost of travel, boarding and lodging of all the qualifying teams from outside Kochi, which applies to children travelling to Kochi from Mangalore also. In addition The Hindu will also meet the cost of travel, boarding and lodging for one accompanying teacher or parent per team.

The quiz will start at 2 p.m. and entrants should present themselves at the venue latest by 1 p.m. Well-known quizmaster from Chennai V.V. Ramanan will conduct the quiz.

There are large number of prizes to won by the winning teams and also by all the team that participates in the quiz in the regional finals and the all India finals.
