Obesity treatment camp

Arogya Mandira Trust will conduct a two-week treatment camp for obesity and its complications from August 25. The camp will include natural diet, herbs, yoga, steam bath, mudpack, massage, tub bath and other remedies. Details can be had on ph. 23578375/ 23579755.

Gayatri Mahamantra programme

Sadhana Sangama Trust will organise a special free "Gayatri mahamantra and meditation" programme from August 24 to 29 from 6.45 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. at Sri Kannika Parameshwari Temple in Malleswaram. The programme will be conducted by Pattibhiram, disciple of Sri Swami Rama of the Himalayas. During the programme correct chanting of the mantra, pranayama, gayatri meditation, lectures on mantra, its meaning and significance will be taught. Details can be had on ph. 23303748.

Training on presentation skills

Free eye screening camp

Surana Project Dristhi and Mahaveer Eye Hospital in association with Bhansali Youth Forum and District Blindness Control Society will conduct a free eye screening and operation camp on August 28 at the Adarsh College in Chamarajpet. Free medicines and spectacles will be provided to the needy and free IOL operations will be conducted at G.C. Surana Project Drishti Eye Institute in Sheshadripuram. Free legal services for disabled

The Office of the Commissioner for Disabilities in association with the Alternative Law Forum will provide free legal services to the disabled persons at the Commissioners' office, No 40, Thambuchetty Road, Cox town on every Wednesday between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Details can be had on ph. 25482639/ 25482641.

B.N. Satyaprema Kumar has been elected president of the Karnataka Electricity Board Engineers' Association for the next three years. The elections were held on Sunday.
