Ascendas to set up Tech Park in Kolkata

Hopes to complete Phase-I in early 2007

NEW DELHI:
The Singapore-based real estate company, Ascendas, on Tuesday announced the launch of a new 20-acre International Technology Park in Kolkata.
The Rs. 400-crore park would come up within a 10,000-acre development site in Rajarhat in New Town Kolkata, a release said here.
When fully completed, Ascendas' flagship project in Kolkata would provide two million sq. ft. of business space for IT and software development operations, making it one of the largest IT parks in Kolkata.
The development of technology park would be in four phases. Construction of phase one to create five lakh sq. ft. of Grade A space would commence in January 2006, with its completion expected in early 2007.
Ascendas is already in three cities and one of the few developers with an established South India portfolio, the release added. — PTI
