Student exchange programme

Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) India has selected 21 students for an India-U.S. exchange programme under which they have gone to the United States and Canada and will also get to attend the SIFE World Cup 2005.

The five students who made the list from Chennai are Zainab and Sowmya from MOP Vaishnav College, Anand from Alpha Arts and Science College, Saranya from Ethiraj College and Remya from Dr MGR-Janaki College. They left for the U.S. on August 12.

The SIFE interns will experience work on-campus along with other students. They will be involved in sports and cultural activities.

The students will be SIFE ambassadors in India involved in starting SIFE teams in other colleges as well as spreading the spirit of SIFE. At the end of the programme, a SIFE Business internship book will be released for circulation in all the SIFE countries.

SIFE and the selected host universities in the U.S. will provide travel arrangements, accommodation and food. The internship programme will go on till November 15. — Staff Reporter
