Core sector performance

NEW DELHI: All the core sectors, except fertilizers, petroleum and net-telephony, witnessed positive growth in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. Despite positive growth, the quantum of increase has been lower in the case of steel and coal and barring these two sectors along with fertilizers and refinery production, all the others exceeded the targets set for the quarter.
