Rupee slides further
MUMBAI:
The rupee on Tuesday slid to an over ten week closing low of 43.65/66 a dollar after sustained dollar demand amidst a relatively firm global dollar continued to exert pressure on it with the outlook negative due to rising crude oil prices and a slowdown in FII inflows.
Declining by another three paise from Monday's 1-1/2 month closing low of 43.62/63, the rupee tested an intra-day low of 43.69/71 after nervousness gripped the market in the morning, dealers said. PTI
