CHANDIGARH: Nine Independent MLAs, most of them former Congressmen, on Tuesday offered their unconditional support to the Congress Government in Haryana. In letters addressed to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, these MLAs eulogised her and said the party was carrying out mass welfare and progressive policies under her leadership.
New era
Talking to media persons here in the presence of the Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, they said that a new era of prosperity had been ushered in the State, thanks to his good governance. The MLAs include Shakuntla Bhagwaria, Naresh Kumari, Habib-ur-Rahman,Harsh Kumar, Radhey Shyam, Bachhan Singh Arya, Sukhbir Singh, Dinesh Kaushik and Tejender Pal Maan. They said they were extending support to the Congress in the larger interest of their respective constituencies and the State. They further said that Mr. Hooda was providing a neat, clean and transparent administration which had enhanced the image of the Congress Party in Haryana. Mr. Hooda welcomed the support and said this would make the party even stronger.
