UDC scores upset win

Tiruchi: Urumu Dhanalakshmi College scored an upset seven-wicket win over Bishop Heber College and stormed into the semifinals of the Bharathidasan University inter-collegiate cricket tournament at Tiruchi on Tuesday.

The scores: Bishop Heber College 107 in 24.5 overs (Navaniranjan 26, L. Ramesh three for 28, S. Muruganandam three for 22) lost to Urumu Dhanalakshmi College 110 for three in 23.3 overs (S. Muraleeswaran 32 not out, Shanmugasundaram 31 not out).

Kannan scalps five

Kannan's five for 37 helped Supersonic Cricket Club carve out a 11-run victory over Superkast Cricket Club in the Indian Bank-Madurai District Cricket Association first division B Zone league on Sunday.

The scores :

First division B Zone: Supersonic CC 228 in 41.3 overs bt Superkast CC 217 in 41.4 overs.

Majestic Kids 250 in 45 overs vs Supersonic concord CC 66 for five in 17.5 overs. Supersonic Concord C.C conceded the match.

A Zone: Arasaradi CC 150 22 overs lost to Freak CC 154 for three in 26 overs.

T.V.S. Club 206 for six in 46 overs bt Spark CC 195 in 44 overs.

Second division: Canara Bank CC 142 in 26.2 overs lost to Crescent CC 143 for five in 17.4 overs.

TVS Inter connect CC 157 for seven in 39 ost to Thirunagar Rainbow CC 159 for eight in 26.4 overs.

Babu Cricket Academy 162 for eight in 30 overs lost to Mercury Legends CC 163 for seven in 23.5 overs.

Eleven Star CC 192 for eight in 30 overs bt Crescent CC 172 for seven in 30 overs
