Coop. polls in October

HYDERABAD: Elections to cooperative bodies in the State will be held in October.

Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, Minister for Cooperatives K. Laxminarayana said the polls to cooperatives would be on non-party basis.

The exercise will cover the primary cooperative agricultural societies too whose number has come down to 2,900 from earlier 4,000 after rationalisation.
