New Vice-Chief of Naval Staff

NEW DELHI: The Navy on Tuesday announced senior-level appointments including that of Venkat Bharathan, who will take over as the Vice-Chief of Naval Staff from October 31 in place of Yashwant Prasad.

Sureesh Mehta, Deputy Chief of Naval Staff, will take over as Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, from O.P. Bansal who retires on September 30.
