KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday set aside the State Election Commission's order disqualifying three councillors of the Angamaly municipality. Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan quashed the order while allowing writ petitions filed by the councillors P.A.Thomas, Lissie Joseph and Jose Palliyan. The court, however, upheld the order disqualifying the former chairman of Angamaly municipality Shio Paul. They were disqualified on grounds of violating a whip issued by the Congress parliamentary party leader.
