Crude bomb blast outside scribe's house
According to the police, the crude bomb exploded around 7-30 p.m. near a police picket outside the house of Navin Kumar, a senior correspondent with a Hindi news channel, in the Mangal Bazar area at Laxmi Nagar. The police said they were trying to identify the person who planted the bomb there. Meanwhile, a case under the Explosives Act has been registered and further probe into the matter is on.
One killed, two hurt in fire incident
Juveniles held
The three were held after a jewellery shop owner, to whom they had come to sell the stolen ornaments, informed police. Two gold chains, two gold rings, a pair of gold ear-rings, a gold top, a gold 'mangalsutra' and two silver coins they had stolen from houses in Sarojini Nagar area were recovered from the boys aged about 15, police said.
Two sentenced
Additional Session Judge Narottam Kaushal found Tarun Jain and Rajbeer Singh guilty of murdering Ritu Verma.
