Dinesh Rai new DDA Vice-Chief

NEW DELHI: Dinesh Rai, an IAS officer of the 1974 batch of U.P. cadre, will be the new Vice-Chairman of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.

Mr. Rai is at present Managing Director of the National Cooperatives Development Corporation. He replaces Madhukar Gupta who has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Fertilizers, in the Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. Mr. Gupta belongs to the 1971 batch of Uttaranchal cadre.

Ashok Kumar Mahapatra (Himachal Pradesh, 1971), currently Chairman, Tariff Commission, has been appointed Secretary in the Union Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.

Champak Chatterjee (West Bengal, 1971), Additional Secretary in the Union Agriculture Ministry, has been appointed Special Secretary in the same ministry by temporarily upgrading the post held by him.
