Three fined for poaching wild boars

KRISHNAGIRI:
: Three villagers were fined Rs. 25,000 each by forest authorities on charges of poaching wild boars that were in distress at Jappikanapalli near here on Tuesday.
According to Forest officials, eight wild boars that had strayed into human habitation in search of food and water accidentally fell into a well. While two boars died on the spot, the remaining were battling for lives. On information Krishnappa (48), Venkatraman (38) and Achappa (60) of Jappikanapalli reportedly killed five boars and consumed the meat.
