Toss decides matches

Bangalore: Spin of the coin was resorted to, to get results after overnight rains, inclement weather and delayed starts forced all the quarterfinals in the KSCA all-India invitation MRF Trophy tournament to end in a draw here on Wednesday.

Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), Air India, NCA and Indian Airlines called right and qualified for the semifinals commencing here on Thursday.

The scores: At RSI Ground: NSW 206 for 7 decl. in 79.5 overs (Grant Lambert 108, Dominic Thornely 64, Ranadeb Bose four for 18) drew with CAB 190 for 4 in 39 overs (Arindam Das 84). CAB won by spin of coin.

At Chinnaswamy Stadium: KSCA 343 for 8 in 90 Overs (VS Thilak Naidu 94, B. Akhil 57) drew with Air India 225 for 2 in 50 overs (N. Ojha 89, Niraj Patel 53 n.o., S. Shinde 47 n.o.). Air India won by spin of coin.

At IAF Ground: NCA 195 for 8 in 65 overs drew with Baroda CA. NCA won by spin of coin.

At JIRS: Indian Airlines 177 in 71.4 overs (Vijay Dahiya 48, Shafiq Khan 54) drew with Chemplast 155 for 6 in 59 overs (Vasant Saravanan 43). Indian Airlines won by spin of coin.
