WARANGAL: All the three MLAs - belonging to TRS who turned up for the review meeting on Food-for-work scheme, walked out protesting what they called `indifferent' attitude of the officials. Surprisingly, only the three MLAs attended the meeting. They are: Chennur MLA Dugyala Srinivasa Rao, Parkal MLA B. Sara Rani and Narasampet MLA K. Lakshma Reddy. Even before the officials settled down for the meeting, the MLAs accused the officials of not keeping them informed about the official meetings. Mr. Lakshma Reddy sought to know whether the district administration had any control over the village-level officials and sarpanches. He wanted to know how the beneficiaries were being selected and what was the criteria being adopted. Mrs. Sara Rani alleged that some of the officials were discriminating and keeping them in dark about the schemes and works. When the turn of Dugyala Srinivasa Rao came, he took the officials to task. Before leaving the meeting hall, he gave an earful to the officials including the district Collector. Mr. Srinivasa Rao accused the officials of not acting promptly on the files and keeping them pending for long. The MLA threatened to take up the issue with the higher officials at the Secretariat.
