Agriculture information centres opened

TIRUCHI: : The Agriculture Department has opened information centres in various parts of Tiruchi district for providing technical inputs and assistance to farmers.

The information centres would function under an Agriculture Officer and farmers could make use of the facility for getting technical support and information. A district-level information centre has also been opened at the Office of the Joint Director of Agriculture in the city. The centres would function on holidays also during the samba season, according to a release from R. Narayanasamy, Joint Director (in-charge), Agriculture.

Farmers could get any information from these centres either in person or at the following telephone numbers: Tiruchi- 2793241, Manapparai - 260541, Musiri - 260241 and Lalgudi - 2548317.

Mr.Narayanasamy also said adequate stocks of all necessary inputs have been moved to the agricultural extension centres in the district.
